About our theatre:

Our cinema includes two theatres. The main level auditorium retains the giant screen and open spaces of the original theatre. Several hundred wide seats with extra wide aisles and cupholders provide outstanding comfort. This theatre also features Dolby Stereo.

The second auditorium on the second floor features stadium seating, Stereo Surround Suond, wide reclining seats with cupholders, and a beautiful wide screen.

For your enjoyment we offer:

Our large snack bar offers you popcorn, pop, a large array of candies, cotton candy, and combos. Children enjoy the special Kiddie Pack which includes popcorn, a kid-size drink, and candy. No outside food, drinks, or containers are allowed in the theater. No smoking or use of tobacco products in the building.

History

The original cinema in Fulton... (16653 bytes)The Fulton Cinema opened on January 26, 1928. Dignitaries from Jefferson City and Fulton attended. The Dubinsky Brothers operated the theatre along with a sister theatre in Jefferson City. An orchestra played as live acts performed on stage and for the silent movie on the big screen.

At one time, the Dubinsky's operated the Gem Theatre (now an antique store at the corner of 6th and Nichols) and the Pratt Theatre (on the site of Rusty's donuts). Vaudeville performers stayed at the Fulton Hotel, now the site of First Bank.

The Dubinsky's operated the theatre until after World War II. Monroe Glenn (whose father, along with Dr. Crews, built the theatre) operated the theatre until 1961, when they sold it to the Wehrenberg Circuit. In 1979, B&B Theatres purchased the Fulton Cinema. B&B Theatres has re-seated the main auditorium (twice), installed new seats in the upstairs Cinema II, installed new screens, and made many improvements to the sound through the years. B&B has re-wired, re-roofed, and done a variety of substantial improvements to enhance the movie-going experience and improve comfort.

Nearby theatres include The Moberly Five and Drive and the Lake West Cinema in Laurie.
